Vilgar. A beautiful mountain guarded by freak storms and blizzards, the tundra that blanketed it was like a moat to some great castle that held a god of fury and destruction. Obviously, no such god existed, but the mountain was home to the bloodthirsty Blizzard Moon Pack. A group of insane, murderous wolves that lived by the cover of nightfall. And it was now that the moon chased away the sun, bathing the mountain in an eerie blue glow. To those who survived long enough in the mountains harsh icy grasp, they would see it as one of the most beautiful and breathtaking places in the land. The whole place had a pure and glassy quality to it that made it a work of art, a masterpiece of natures creativity. Yet every rose has its thorns and the mountain's cruel grasp spiked a never ending winter.
A black shape emerged from the bowels of the mountain as the moon revealed itself. The caves provided a sweet escape from the sunlight, but now it was night-time, it was also time to roam the territory and keep watch of the borders. Two blood hued eyes ate up the night sky as she watched the clouds part to reveal a clear sky lit by millions of stars. Her crimson orbs glanced at the magnificent sweep of the milky way before turning their attention down the icy slopes. Her slender frame pushing through the deeper, newly fallen snow till she came to a ridge that hung over a steep chasm in the mountainside. She leapt up onto its pointed surface to get a clearer view of the borders way below. This peak was the main vantage point in the whole mountain and from there you could see all the way down to the edges of the neighbouring territories.
The ebony drappa of Blizzard Moon laid her skinny frame on the icy rock and took her position of keeping watch of all that went on. No doubt the pack members would be roaming the area also. Newer members may be wandering and getting to know the mountain. Either way, the drappa was likely to see some of them tonight. She planned to call them altogether tonight anyway, to discuss the hunt tomorrow night as she had spotted elkryn moving further down the mountain a day or so ago. They needed to try their luck at bringing one down before that herd moved on.

Cain lifted his head up from where he was laying. He heard movement outside the cave he buried himself in for the night and wondered if it was a new pack member. Cain had been here a few days and has yet seen the new followers around. He was of course settling himself into the land and getting used to it. If he was planning on making his way to the top at some point he should at least know the grounds by heart. But not only should he know the grounds, he should know the pack members. He should get to know them, see who were the strong ones and who was the weaklings. He had to make sure of course that he would be able to easily come over one if he had to.
Standing up and stretching himself out, he perked his ears up to listen to the small footsteps a bit more intently. Definitely light on their feet and took long strides. He recognized the sound from the Drappa. Cain wrinkled his nose. He was still troubled at the thought of bowing down to a lupa's needs but he had to do what he had to do to get to the top, right? He flicked his tail and started to walk in the direction she was headed. He stopped at an edge of the mountain, a long drop threatening him as he took a step back. She was here. Well for what he could smell. He took back the step he retrieved and looked down the edge. Below the Drappa was laying down and looking out into the forest. His yellow eyes followed where her gaze was fixed onto a herd of elkryn.
"The pack should get a go at the elkryn soon,"Cain said as he eased himself down so he was on the same level as her and stood up straight with pride. "It would be a good time to weed out the helpless, and get to know one anothers strengths."
He took a few steps closer and then bowed his head respectfully towards his Alphess, "How has the night been treating you, Drappa?"

He took his steps with great pride as his massive paws crunched the ice beneath him. Knowing he was a large wolf, confidence filled his jade orbs heavily. The ice seemed to have a trail of a single wolf’s tracks. It was no doubt his Drappa. He had been thinking an aweful lot about this Drappa lately. Attempting to understand her mind set, but getting nowhere close. He wanted to know what the purpose of this lupa was. Power? Hunger? Insanity? He was sure that it would have to be them all in order to rule as a lupa over this Hellish Land. Of course, this land wasn’t all that intimidating once you have gotten to know it. Vereor had been spending his entire night memorizing the landscape of Vilgar, it was definitely a challenge.
He had left Esperanza to explore on her own, trusting that she knew how to fight. He didn’t want to seem over protective of her and annoy her. That was a weakness of Vereor, he was always overprotective. He lifted his muzzle up in an eerie howl that vibrated the land beneath him with the bass tone. It was a howl that Curators used to intimidate the wolves that were travelling among the border. It would make them think twice about setting a claw in Vilgar. Everyone in these mountains would be able to hear him.
Suddenly his hackles raised as he felt the eyes of someone on him. He let out a low growl lowering his muzzle to the level of his chest. Spotting his Drappa on the highest peak, he realized it had been her. She gave him a very interesting look. Something that was utterly unreadable. He stopped showing his teeth immediately in respect, although she would have seen him in his ‘power stance’. He was slightly embarrassed but wouldn’t let it show. Hopefully she was moderately impressed by his show to the unknown orbs he felt. Leaning forward, he broke into a brisk run leading him into the mountains themselves. He arrived at the edge near the peak and spotted another black wolf. He had to hold his growl back, but couldn’t help his hackles raising once again. This was an unknown wolf to him, but didn’t pose a threat. He smelled of Blizzard Moon. Ignoring it he bowed ever-so-slightly to his Drappa, but his eyes stayed on the lupo.

Inochitori and the Drappa had parted ways shortly after he had been accepted and he had taken off to investigate the land. Snow-capped mountain tops were one of his favorite places in the world, at least out of those he had been to. Snow always made places feel like home and this was no different. White body blended into the environment, the hue on his ears, back, and down one leg were the only ways to track him in the powder. Tori was far from the tallest wolf around, arctic wolves were one of the smallest breeds, but he was half Mexican wolf so his legs were a little longer.
His toes spread out to catch the snow in the webbing between them but he still sunk to his chest in the deepest parts of it. It was fine with him, he enjoyed it. It made his adventure around the territory much more interesting, it even caused him to trip a time or two. Give him a week and he would have it all down. He was ready for the dangers hidden below the surface, he had learned about those as a young pup and it came natural to avoid them or save himself when he found them. The temperature dropped with the sun and he shivered delightfully. His body had acclimated to the warmth of forests and he was happy to be in the cold once again.
Inochitori stopped his travels and investigations to rest. In all his time spent around the land today, he hadn't once run into any of the other pack members. He knew nothing of them, he didn't even know how many were in the pack, but he did know a few things like how Curator and Beta were taken. Curators were often male, weren't they? Betas could be either, both even, so there were at least four members of Blizzard Moon, including himself. It was a good start.
Deep amber eyes drifted up to a cliff above to see the familiar black silhouette of his Drappa. Unless she had a twin, he could recognize that pretty little thing anywhere. He noted the way the cliff hung over the land and was impressed with the natural look out place. While the hues on his back could be taken for shadows in the snow, his black ears were hard to miss and he knew she could see him. His attention drifted from Teekah to another shadowy figure just off to the side of her own, ears perked and tail flicked with seeing that. Another member! But he settled himself and continued to watch, it could be a private meeting after all.
With the arrival of another figure, Inochitori smiled to himself and stood. The blood from the hare that had tainted his pelt before had mostly worn off by now and was no where near as an impressive sight as it had been earlier. That was mostly fine with him seeing as he wasn't really trying to impress any of the other pack members. It was Teekah who needed to like him, the rest were simply stuck with him. He started up the peak at his own pace, delicate feet finding all the right footholds on the first try nearly every time. He joined the two males, one black and one naturally colored with browns. Small smiles were given to both and a brightened expression was given to Teekah.
Amber orbs turned back to his packmates, two strong, proud males. It was easy to see that he was the smallest of the trio, but that didn't bother him at all. He had learned a long time ago that size meant nothing if you don't know how to use it. Besides, he liked his size. Truthfully, there wasn't much he didn't like about himself. Tori knew nothing of their histories or abilities but it seemed to him like Cain, the black one, was a bit more deadly. Then again, taking himself into account with his contradictory disposition, maybe it was Vereor who was the most deadly. Underestimating things was far more deadly than overestimating them. "Are we having a party?" Grinning again, like a fool, because that was just how Inochitori Namida rolled.

Esperanza knew something would go up. Her leader would bring the pack together, why would she not? The members had to get to know who was who and know that none of them where strangers. Yet, this still got Espy to cringe and want to not come but she had to. She was scared, for she was the smallest, weakest, and the only other female. Though, she was the fastest, she knew for she loved to run, and she stayed on top of the snow. Espy was afraid, for the others where huge males and a huge female. She could be killed for heaven's sake, for she was the omega. The lowest ranked and least respected. Who cared about her? She was just another mouth to feed and a huge annoyance when it came to her lyrics, which where harsh and venomous.
Taking a deep breath, Esperanza moved forward, across the snowy mountain side and heading to where she scented her pack mates. Her bodice shook with fear, though she did not smell like it, but instead courage and enjoyment. Espy was good at hiding her true feelings, instead of showing them. Espy glided on top of the snow, on the thin mountain path, auds back and looking down, for she did not want to fall and make a fool of herself. That would be to embarrassing even for her.
Shaking again, she picked up her speed and kept on going, letting her dome pick up slightly and banner wave. A fake smile plastered on her maw as the four lupines came in view, three lupo's and one lupa. There was Vereor, Cain, and her leader Teekah. Yet the fourth, larger then she by a bit, was new to her. Brow coming forward in a frown, she glided away from the mountain and in there direction. Her auds where pinned, banner tucked and muscles loose in submission. Yet her dome was a bit high and she didn't walk with slowly, but with a efficient grace. Espy might be omega but she wouldn't submit all the way for any dragga or drappa.
Stopping mere yards from them, she dipped her dome to all four, nostrils flaring as she took in the scent. Her gaze flicked to the smallish male, for he showed to share some of her arctic blood. She flicked her auds forward and sniffed, trying to recognize his scent but got nothing. Sighing, she glanced to her left, noting she was closer to Cain then Vereor. She glanced down to her paws and didn't speak unless she was spoken to. Though she did glance at Cain and murmur his name in greeting.

Teekah watched the elkryn as the moved, her eyes locking onto them from the distance and already trying to determine any sikklas in the herd which would be easy enough to take down. It would be foolish to take down a fully grown and healthy elk. One, because it was impossible to get away unscathed. Two, if you take down the strongest then there is less chance that they will produce offspring to feed them in the future. Always take down the old and weak.
She hadn't been waiting long and soon enough all of the Blizzard Moon members had gathered and were at her back. Cain was the first to arrive, his gaze followed her own towards the elkryn as he spoke. "True, we need a good challenge." She paused as she picked out a sickly looking female with a bloodied leg. "These elkryn have been moving further up the mountain as of late. That frail one lost footing and took a tumble down the rocks. It's only a matter of time before it is too weak and will die from the elements..." She paused again as Cain continued to talk.
"How has the night been treating you, Drappa?"
A howl rose to the sky, that of the curator. Teekah growled a little. "Alright i suppose, Cain. I am a mountain wolf after all." She could tell by his voice that he was struggling to come to terms with having a lupa in charge of him, however she mentioned nothing of it. He would learn. Anyway, she continued on, "I trust you fared well also against the storm?" Just as she finished, Blizzard Moons curator, Vereor made his appearance. She watched as the beta and curator acknowledged each other, and took note as Vereors hackles raised a little. "Nice of you to join us, Vereor." She said as he bowed a little to her.
Now it was Inochitori's turn to join the little get-together. He waltzed over with a smile on his face in his own little amuzing way again. As he beamed at her she returned the gesture with a fanged grin of her own. Somehow he could always make her smile, she didn't know why though.
"Are we having a party?"
Teekah glanced back down to the elkryn. "It gets more fun from here on. We shall start the hunt soon. Thats where you'll come in, Inochitori." Teekah ran her pink tongue across her white canines, her ears cocked forward as she continued to keep a specific eye on the injured elk limping behind its herd. There was always the chance that the herd will try to protect it no matter if its injured or not. They would have to be wary of that. Teekah then noticed Esperanza moving towards them up the mountain. She was rather quick for an omega. Teekah nodded to her as she stopped near them. Her eyes narrowed very slightly as she saw Espy pay more attention to Cain. Odd. She was sure that Esperanza was closer to Vereor. No matter, she couldn't care less as long as it didn't disrupt the order of the pack.
She waited till they all got better accuainted before rising to all fours to talk to them properly. "The time has come to begin a hunt, our first target will be the elkryn herd further down the mountainside. Though first you should all make yourselves known and your rank. Most of you do not know each other. The strength of the wolf is the pack and the strength of the pack is the wolves." She paused. "Like it or not, you are all members of Blizzard Moon and will probably run into each other on a daily basis. So play nice..." Her eyes washed over each pack member as they stood there.

Cain could tell that the Drappa was trying to pick out a good meal from the herd. He knew she had to look for the weaker ones, ones that were technically no help the the herd anymore anyway. But he couldn't help but be enthused by the idea of having a real fight with a strong member of the herd. The mighty leader struggling under his jaws and the blood leaking into his mouth, running along his tongue. He shivered at the juicy thought.
"True, we need a good challenge. These elkryn have been moving further up the mountain as of late. That frail one lost footing and took a tumble down the rocks. It's only a matter of time before it is too weak and will die from the elements..."
Cain nodded, believing a challenge would be at best. Sure they are members of the pack but we don't really know them and their abilities, or if they truly belong. They passed the introduction state and in Cain's opinion that wasn't enough. This is saying if his opinion counts, but he does believe there needs to be some sort of test in physicality. To be apart of the Blizzard Moon pack you must be strong and you must have nearly no heart. How are we to know that just by one meeting?
"Alright i suppose, Cain. I am a mountain wolf after all."
"Good." Was all Cain could muster out since a howl and another body distracted him. He saw the male figure of the Curator. At first he stood tall with pride, no expression of annoyance, but when the male looked at him directly and rose his hackles Cain dipped his head some to protect his neck and lifted his own. He was ready to bear his teeth and charge if he had to. But he stayed calm and held his ground. The brute may have one rank higher than him, but it will soon be adjusted. For Cain was confident enough that he could over throw or challenge him any time if needed. Though now, was not the time, now was the time to get to know his "pack mate".
"Are we having a party?"
Only for a split second did Cain take his yellow eyes off of Vereor, it was just to see the other lupo that decided to make his presence known. Cain eyed him carefully. He wasn't as large as him and wasn't carrying himself in a dominant manner. He was a follower, not a leader. No threat of Cain's, that is if he just listened to what Cain said and never challenged him. But the wolf didn't seem like the challenging type. Someone that Cain would careless about. Cain dipped his head in greeting to the new wolf. He lifted his head some to get a good smell of him. Cain had to memorize every wolves scent in the pack, it helped him know who they were and know that they weren't trespassers. It also helped to know a bit of their personality.
"It gets more fun from here on. We shall start the hunt soon. Thats where you'll come in, Inochitori."
Cain could feel the saliva in his mouth conjure up as thoughts of a bloody carcass in his mouth ran through his head. How could he not get hungry and blood thirsty at those thoughts? How could he not be excited for a run? A blood bath? Cain's yellow eyes went away from Inochitori, who Teekah had called him, back to Vereor. He wasn't quite sure yet if he could relax with that wolf around. If he wanted a challenge, then he'd get one.
A softer scent that was trying to seep through anothers came wafting up into Cain's nostrils. He turned his head to see Esperanza standing next to him. Immediately Cain raised his head in a prideful way, and glanced over at Vereor. Esperanza was covered in Cain's scent, just from spending time with him, she no longer carried Vereor's anymore. Cain dipped his head to her in greeting, and then turned back to Teekah, fairly certain now that Vereor was done looking at him like he was about to fight.
"The time has come to begin a hunt, our first target will be the elkryn herd further down the mountainside. Though first you should all make yourselves known and your rank. Most of you do not know each other. The strength of the wolf is the pack and the strength of the pack is the wolves. Like it or not, you are all members of Blizzard Moon and will probably run into each other on a daily basis. So play nice..."
When Cain was sure she was finished with her speech he took it upon himself to go first, that way there would be no struggle in getting things started. All he wanted to get to right now was a nice meal that was waiting for him down the mountain, "I am Cain, Beta of the pack."

Post by Vereor Lupus on Mar 1, 2010 6:34:54 GMT -5
Vereor finished his bow to his Drappa and finished looking at Cain. It was an attempt to get the wolf worked up for there isn’t a benefit to Vereor just to look at another lupo. He made a note that the wolf lowered his mull to protect his neck, a corrupt smirk filled the jaw of Vereor. He enjoyed seeing others’ attempt to think they could protect themselves from them. Most wolves underestimated his abilities. Most wolves assume that if you’re a large wolf, you are not agile. Just muscle. This, in most cases, is true. But Vereor had been taught to be agile because of his father always trying to kill him. His father saw him as too much of a threat to keep around, so his guard was always up.
A lupo strolled in like he was the biggest and baddest wolf in the forest. Vereor stood up, let his hackles rest, and held his head higher than this wolf. Although he had to admit that this wolf amused him. His eyes squinted, wondering what to think of him. Maybe he could get along with this wolf. At least one of them. Another glance at Cain. This wolf hadn’t taken his eyes off of Vereor, did he feel threatened? Awe, poor lupo. Vereor chuckled at this, but it would seem to everyone that he was laughing at this light footed, rather small, white wolf with red ears. Vereor would give this wolf a chance in his book, maybe.
The next thing that happened hit him like he was standing behind a waterfall in a hurricane. A large bulk of water slapping him straight on. Cain’s scent was all over Esperanza. He coulsn’t take his eyes off of her, completely ignoring how Cain raised his head and stared at Vereor. Vereor was taller, so it wasn’t like he could get his head higher. He gave her a look like, ‘What did I do to deserve this?’. Then he caught himself and threw the emotion to the side. Smiling a wicked smile he looked at Cain. “Pretty quick to get some game, huh, Cain?,”
Vereor winked at Cain after speaking in a voice that only Esperanza and Cain could hear. He turned up to Teekah and listened intently, although his muscles were still tight incase someone wished to attack him. He would be ready. He kept his mouth calm at the thought of food, knowing he would get 2nd grabs at it. He was starving, but still strong. She told them to announce their rank, Cain jumped on that. Vereor turned to face the rest of the wolves standing in front of him. The feeling of his heart being ripped out of his chest quickly left him, unable to feel anything anymore for this betraying lupa. “I am Vereor Lupus, Curator.” His voice was deep and firm, his teeth glistened in the moonlight as he spoke, a natural movement but not in a threatening manner.[/blockquote]

Hey look, a little snow gal! They could almost be siblings except that Inochitori was far more pretty. At first, he considered her a timid little thing, judging by her appearance, but he quickly changed his opinion as she neared. She was not timid, she was of a low rank, the lowest rank. He understood now. She seemed to hold a minute of interest in him and Tori stood with ears perked and head cocked curiously until her attention settled on the black male instead. Fine by him. He didn't feel like flirting right this second anyway. He got another smile out of the Drappa which was quite exciting and Tori held it as quite an accomplishment. No one else got a smile out of her from what he had seen so far.
Ooh, the hunt! He grinned more brightly at her comment, shifting his eyes to the information of his job lock into the brains of the others. His eyes shifted to the elkryn she was watching. Inochitori's eyes were not quite as good as Teekah's were, snow could be rather blinding for a growing pup, but his sight was good enough to pick out the injured one after a moment. They were told to play nice and Inochitori's attention returned to his Black Beauty. "I always play nice." It was a small comment and he did not carry on to introduce himself just yet. This was a pack with ranks and all that and he figured he might as well abide by such rules. The black one had given him a once over and a small nod earlier and was now taking the inititive to introduce himself. Ah, so he was the beta. Mr. Cain dude. Cool, whatever.
Tori gave a nod of acknowledgement, small and accompanied with a small smile before his attention turned to the next speaker. He had been slightly amused by the way Vereor had calmed but pulled rank over him the second he had showed up. Tori hadn't shown it though. He also hadn't missed Vereor's comment and the looks they were giving each other back and forth. No, he figured he would not be flirting with that girl. It was no fun when it came with unnecessary drama. Vereor might seem all nice and fine with it, but it didn't take a genius to see that he wasn't. His introduction came next, Vereor the Curator. That made sense. Cool. Seeing as everyone knew Teekah and it'd be totally wrong to let the omega go before him, Tori figured it was now his turn. He shook out his coat and gave a bright smile. "I'm Inochitori Namida, Venatoro of Blizzard Moon." It was the first time he had put all those words in the same sentence and you'd have to be pretty oblivious to see that he wasn't quite proud of that. This would be fun.

Though the sun had long gone, Ava still stayed out from her own pack lands. She had managed, or well so she thought, to do the impossible. She found a small faded scent an hour or so ago, but it was rough and musky filled with a familiar danger. She knew immediately that it had to be her brother. Or at least someone who had seen him. And to Ava, these were very positive things, especially since she was looking for him.
Now most faes don't go around looking for a brute like Cain, but Ava isn't like every other fae. She loves her brother despite all the horrible things he has done and still wishes to know if he is all right. The moment she heard he was amongst this wide range of lands she knew she had to stick around and see if he was here. Every now and then she came across a scent but it'd slowly dissipate into the thickness of the forest. But now, after traveling far from home and her normal walks, she found a scent and has been able to keep ahold of it for over an hour. Which to her was a good sign, so she didn't care if she was out far from home and on her own in the middle of the dark.
Plus, Ava was five years old and has been living on her own for two years. It wasn't till recently had she really been picked up in a pack. Which she was finding to be a completely different living style. You had to look out for each other and not just number one, and you were almost never alone. Which was why she liked taking her walks a bit out from the pack lands. Even though the way of living was strange and different to her, she rather liked it. She liked not having to fear for her hide all the time and knowing that she had numbers behind her. She also liked knowing the chance of pups. Ava secretly dreams of being a mother.
Ava's black nose was leading her towards an area where the forest was drifting into open land. Land that seemed to be covered in snow. Her white paw stepped out into the snowy drift and sniffed around. Cain's scent was a lot stronger now, but it was also mixed in with a bunch of other scents. Many wolves lived on this land. But she was certain Cain wouldn't be amongst them. He wasn't the pack type. At least, not the last time she checked.
Climbing up into mountains, Ava had her ears stretched forward on the top of her head to pick up any sounds that might be Cain and had her nose elevated a bit upwards to keep ahold of his scent. Before she knew it she had climbed her way into a packs meeting. Ava blinked and stared, shocked that they were closer than she thought. The cold must have messed with some of her senses. She looked around them, one dark black male with yellow eyes turned his head and stared directly into her eyes. It was then she knew that she found what she was looking for.

Esperanza noticed the dip of dome from Teekah. Her dome lowered as well, greeting her alphess without speaking with her lyrics. She smiled softly to herself, happy that her alphess did not despise her at all for being the lowest and weakest of them here. Her dome lifted a bit, and her auds came up slightly, though she did not want to draw much attention to her for it would cause to much trouble. Espy had enough trouble at the moment with Cain...and Vereor. She winced when she thought of his name, knowing she had betrayed him and that hurt her very much. Her gaze flicked his way then away, knowing she should not look at him, for Cain would not like it.
Then Cain glanced her way. He puffed up in a proud way and glanced at Vereor. That hurt. She winced, knowing fully well she was just a prize won, nothing important to Cain but another fae to his collection. Her gaze dropped, though she did catch his dip of dome in her direction. She didn't care, for she was to busy thinking and cursing her mistakes.
Then, when Vereor glanced at her with hurt in his orbs, she almost lost it. She held his gaze for mere seconds then glanced away, staring at her paws. She heard what Vereor had to say and shrunk back, behind the two brute's. She murmured something that was like a apology. Her heart was breaking in two, and her whole self-control was snapping peace by peace. She was just a toy, something the two brute's had wanted, not loved, or she thought, just to show the other who was better. Espy was a full thinking anyone could care for her.
Her bodice lowered to the ground as she listened to Teekah as she spoke about a hunt. Her auds flew forward and she paid attention. A hunt meant a kill, and she was hungry.... Then, like a bucket of cold water was thrown on her, she shook out of it. Being omega, she ate last. Espy was weak and not strong enough to really help, but in truth, she was the fastest. Being smaller, more agile, and not weighing so much, she could dash across the snow and not through it. This gave her a advantage over the other's...though it would cause a problem. She couldn't bring down the beast, but merely slow it down so the other's could take it down. As she thought of this, she missed what Teekah had to say about introducing themselves.
Her gaze flicked to Cain as he spoke his name and rank. She nodded and turned to glance at Vereor for he spoke next. Her gaze lingered for a second then she glanced away, heading for the white artic-like brute. He had now spoke, his lyrics ringing through the circle. She winced for she knew it was her turn. Pushing away her feelings, she stepped forward. Her banner moved from under her belly to flow freely behind her rump. Her pelt clung to her form as she lifted her dome slightly, auds pricked and she glanced at all the lupines square in the orbs "Esperanza is my name and I am the Omega of the Blizzard Moon pack" she dipped her dome and stepped back, away from everyone else.
Espy didn't know what would happen next, but what did happen shocked her. Her dome whirled as she caught a new scent...a scent of a fae from the Fenrir Luna pack. Her auds pricked and she stepped forward, orbs dancing with curiousty. That's when she spotted the lupa, a white one large and proud. The fae was watching Cain with a look that could tell she had been searching for him. Her dome dropped, and she stepped to the creature, beautiful one, and spoke softly "Hello, what brings a Fenrir Luna fae here?" she murmured softly, only the fae hearing. Her dome came up as she spoke again "I am Esperanza, omega, and maybe your only ally if the alphess attacks" she murmurs, for she did not want to hurt this creature. Her scent was telling her the fae's name was Ava...and Cain's sister.

Teekah watched proudly as each pack member stepped forward and introduced themselves, though her eyes remained as dark as ever. She turned away for a while to watch the elkryn move behind the cover of a few bare trees. She spoke again, more towards them all rather than certain individuals. "The hunt will start later at dawn since the elkryn are moving quickly, I have to patrol the borders for a while and will keep watch on the elkryn while i do so, you may do as you please till the hunt..."
Teekah turned to move down the slope when she realised that Esperanza wasn't paying much attention, she let out a little growl and turned back to put Esperanza in her place when the scent of a Fenrir Luna came to her. Her lips curled back into a deadly snarl and she prowled over to the omega to find her talking to a white fae. Teekah circled the lupa till she was on the opposise side to Espy and blocking the femmes way of escape. "And who are you to tresspass on Blizzard Moon territory?.." She hissed, her words venomous towards the fae. She disliked tresspassers, but even more than that she disliked tresspassers from rival packs. This femme definately had a death wish.
Teekah stood her ground on the other side of the femme, her onyx fur bristling. She glanced back to the other pack members with her tail in the air. "Surround her..." She ordered, fangs still bared with fury and her crimson eyes now burning.

“Pretty quick to get some game, huh, Cain?,”
Vereor looked like he was trying to switch the situation around, make it that Cain hadn't gotten something that he longed for. Pah! As if his mind games could work on Cain. Cain wasn't the type to really care what other thought of him, and he was certain that Vereor didn't think of him as... just looking for fun, but perhaps the bastard that stole his potential mate for his own gain. Which, Cain loved, and the more Vereor showed his frustration, the more Cain seemed to puff out his chest in dominance.
The next one to introduce themselves after Vereor was the younger male, who clearly loved the idea of being in a pack. He seemed a lot more relaxed and perhaps a little more playful. Something Cain never really learned how to be. He didn't play much with his siblings as a young pup, but he wrestled around with Ava when their father was teaching them how to fight. He only focused his time and energy on Ava and Cain so their play time was strict, while the other two female pups got to play all day. But even if Ava was trained highly, she seemed to be able to fit in with her sisters a little more than Cain, who never played.
The speaker introduced himself as Inochitori Namida a Venatoro of Blizzard Moon. So he was a hunter. He was of no threat to Cain and Cain nodded his head towards the male with respect. He lifted his head up some and sniffed the air around the male to get a good idea of his scent so if he ever ran across it again, he'd know it was a friendly wolf. Or at least one he shouldn't just attack. Then it was Esperanza's turn to introduce herself and Cain turn his yellow eyes onto her. She took a few steps forward, removed her tail from her belly (which in Cain's opinion should never be tucked in like a coward, but he will have to discuss that to her later), and then she said her name and her rank being Omega. Cain could see that inside she had the ability to be a regular pack member, but was clearly not showing it. He almost felt like she was brought in out of force and not her really wanting to join. Maybe she couldn't refuse?
"The hunt will start later at dawn since the elkryn are moving quickly, I have to patrol the borders for a while and will keep watch on the elkryn while i do so, you may do as you please till the hunt..."
Cain turned his head towards the Alphess' direction and perked his ears up to listen more. But something changed in how she was. She was fine and comfortable to completely tense and rigid. Cain turned his head around to see what she had been looking at and when he saw her, he couldn't move.
It has been three years since the last time Cain had seen those golden eyes. Those soft, innocent, golden eyes. They never judged him, never feared him, and never scorned him. Now he almost got lost in staring at them. He lifted his head and sniffed around, trying desperately to find some sort of confirmation that that was who he thought it was. There was a weird pack scent but deeper in it there was something else. Something sweet, some sort of scent that sent a warm feeling down in your chest. Was it really her?
"And who are you to tresspass on Blizzard Moon territory?.. Surround her."
Cain blinked and looked over at Teekah, not moving. The Alphess had moved herself over to the other side of Ava, blocking her escape route. She was planning on attacking her. Hurting her. Cain couldn't let Ava be hurt. Sure, she was a good wolf and apparently inherited nice traits, but that's why he still liked her. She cared about him. She was the only one that cared about him and she is the only fae he really cares about.
"Ava?" He says, taking a few steps forward. He looked away from Teekah and then to Ava then back to Teekah again. "Wait, don't hurt her."

Vereor liked to question whether or not he should have become a part of this pack. This was truly an evil pack. This was a pack where the wolves were on the verge of insanity. On the verge of killing another wolf of their kind. He knew that Teekah had to have killed a wolf before, and there was no doubt in his mind that she would enjoy doing that. Vereor would never be capable of doing this, it was just something that he happened to be against. Sure, he could harm one, but not to where they are almost dead. He respected Halasia…. To an extent. But he wasn’t exactly raised as the perfect wolf, some wolves would even say that he wasn’t raised at all…
He listened carefully as everyone told their ranks. The ranks fit the personality … except for that Venatoro. Normally Venatoros were more serious about life, and completely devoted their life to the hunt. At first, this wolf didn’t seem like the sort. But Vereor was assuming, that would get him nowhere. But suddenly his thoughts were interrupted. A lupa had entered the land. Vereor instinctively snarled toward her and ran to stand next to Teekah as she walked up to this wolf. It was Vereor’s job to protect Teekah, and the other wolves of the pack. His snarl was very threatening as it rumbled his hackles to raise. Elongated pearly whites shone in the moonlight.
Teekah spoke, he dared not to say anything. He had already began to surround this wolf before Teekah said anything. Why would Fenrir blood come to Blizzard Moon? That was dangerous, and Vereor knew that it took guts to do something like that. Unless she was commiting suicide … that would make sense too. “Ava?” Vereor’s eyes jolted over to Cain’s voice, wide and glazed. He stopped snarling, but kept his mull filled with exposed teeth. Cain knew this wolf. Why would he show relation to Fenrir Blood? Even if she was family? This was Cain’s weakness. Vereor smiled and let his teeth tuck back behind his lips. This would be fun …

Post by Inochitori Namida on Mar 14, 2010 19:32:30 GMT -5
The omega's name was Esperanza, he committed it to memory and gave her no more attention. She had all the attention she could possibly want from Vereor and Cain and Inochitori saw no reason to give her his, too. If she thought she deserved it, she was being a very selfish omega. He was quite happy to return his full attention on Teekah and listen to what she had to say as she released them. A pity, he would've been happy to spend more time here watching the drama pretending it didn't exist and Teekah completely ignoring it. He picked up the new scent almost as quickly as the Drappa did, lifting his nose to the air for a moment before flicking his head in the new female's direction. Esperanza had approached her remarkably quick and that was very out of line in his opinion. For an omega to be the first to meet a tresspasser when all of them were there, it was strange and a little suspicious.
Tori watched her, raising the fur on his ruff and shoulders as he lowered his head a little, but he did not act immediately. He waited first for the others to act, curious how each member would handle things, but when Teekah gave her order, he was quick to follow it. A jump forward and a couple more steps brought him alongside the lupa, eying her as he raised his head in typical confident Tori fashion. He flashed the lupa a pretty little smile and his fur smoothed, his movements flowing instead of the harsh manner they had been before. He probably looked the friendliest of them all, like he wanted to invite her to stay and have lunch with them. She'd be a silly Fenrir Luna bitch if she believed it. It was time for Tori to show where he shined.
Or not.
Cain just had to come in and ruin things. He changed from the conniving male he had been with Esperanza to something nicer, softer. Inochitori perked his ears and tilted his head. He knew her, who was she? Vereor backed down a bit or seemed to at first glance, Tori had a feeling that that wasn't the full story with him. Tori on the other hand glanced in Teekah's direction, it was her call and she had said herself that this was part of his job description. Hunting wolves like her and he was more excited to do that than hunting elkryn could ever make him. He turned amber eyes on Esperanza and a small growl rumbled in his throat, he didn't like how she had acted, but that was all the reprimanding he was going to give. Tori wasn't really in the mood to be angry, he was far too excited about the possibility of ripping her little hide to shreds. His smile twisted and though he spoke to Cain, he didn't look his direction, eyes focussed on his prey. "Whether you know her or not, she's a tresspasser..." He left it at that, Teekah could decide on a course of action.
