[/i] This site is dedicated to the wolves of the world, surviving with techniques beyond our comprehension. There are things that we will never understand, and things that we will never know for sure. This site is to help you understand wolves and the way they act around one another. Hopefully it will also improve your writing skills and help you build a respect for wolves. Regardless, it’s a site to have fun and get to know one another. In order to have fun, you have to read the rules. Happy RPing! [/blockquote][/center]Rules of Wolves; Corrupted:
First off, I would like to welcome you to our beloved Wolves; Corrupted.
General Rules:
- Respect one another. Even if you don’t like someone attempt to be mature about it. And if it gets too bad, then let one of the staff members know and we will gladly take care of it. We don’t want you to be stressed out about getting back on here because of someone, we’ll take care of ya.
- Pay attention to your grammar. We don’t want people throwing the ‘f’ word out everywhere. And make sure to use the correct ‘your’ and ‘you’re’ or even the ‘their’, ‘they’re’ and ‘there’. I know it’s a hassle but please pay attention to that.
- Use spell check before posting. If you post misspelled words, they might have a different meaning spelled a different way. So try not to confuse the person you’re RPing with.
- Do not double post. Meaning, do not repeatedly post the same post over and over and over again. It’s obnoxious. We get the point.
- No spamming. This means do not post something that has complete irrelevance to anything. You will get a warning for this only once. Next time gets the boot. Spamming is taken very seriously because it can ruin the site.
- When making a signature, all I ask is it doesn’t stretch the board and it’s not taking up half of the page.
- Do not just make an account and never make a character. This site is for writers, not people who are just going to log in to read the posts. It's fine if you read them, just participate in them. If you do not login for over a week with an account that hasn't made a character, I will delete it. I hate doing that so please participate.
Character Rules:
- There is to be one character per account, it's just easier for us that way when it comes to pack sorting in the display names.
- When registering for a character, register with the name of your character. The name should be a first and last name, or first and middle name. That is of your choosing.
- You may have as many characters as you would like to have, just as long as you can keep them all regularly active. Then you're good to go!
- Your character may be a mixed species if you would like. However it may not have any type of cat or domestic dog as a mixture. You may mix them with foxes or any other type of canine(ish) animal.
When creating your character their coat is to be realistic. Any type of hair color is welcome and odd shapes of hair color are also welcome. As long as the fur is realistic, it’s totally fine.Fantasy looks are now allowed! Any color, any design, all are welcome! However, we are still just talking about wolves here. No wings, horns, etc.- One of my biggest pet peeves, when it comes to RPing a character, is when someone acts as if their character is God. This is when you play your character as invincible or start RPing other characters when they don’t say you are allowed to. If I find you doing this I will give you 2 warnings. On the 3rd, your character will be removed from the site.
- No picture-perfect characters. Every wolf has a major flaw or two, it makes things more interesting.
- The age of your character may be from 0-50 years of age. In this site 50 will be equivalent to how we see 100 years of age for humans. No wolf is immortal unless you ask me for permission.
- If you are planning on having your character killed, make sure you let one of the staff members know.
- When writing your post, make sure that you are writing in 3rd person.
Wolflet Rules:
- In order to make a wolflet character, you need to have a regularly active wolf character.
- Your wolflet does not have to be a part of a pack, but if they aren’t it will be extremely hard to survive.
- When making a wolflet, they have to be an orphan. Otherwise they would be considered a ‘pup’.
Pack Rules:
- If you want to create a pack, make sure to use the pack form that has been given to you in the Create-a-Pack
- In order to begin making a pack, you need to have at least 2 members (other than yourself) that are interested in beginning one.
- Make sure to understand the pack ranking system, the ranks are posted in the site dictionary.
- Choose a land to claim, or if you would like, you may claim an unknown land and decide what type of land there is there for you to claim. Please role-play yourselves discovering it so everyone agrees.
- The only way you may become a dragga or drappa of a wolf pack is if you challenge them to a fight and win. OR if they step down to you without a fight. OR if the dragga or drappa passes on and you were next in line to the ‘throne’.
- Pack ranks are only chosen by the dragga or drappa, unless they have assigned another wolf to do that part for them.
- If a dragga or drappa decide to banish you from the pack, or you decide to leave a pack, you need to let a staff member know. This way we can change the color of your name and such. And I will ask the Rpers of the dragga or drappa if this is true, that way you can’t just leave without telling anyone.
- When trying to join a pack, make a new thread and have your wolf coming onto the pack's land and waiting for approval. Mention in their somewhere that you are requesting admission into the pack, that way any wolf of the pack doesn't see you as a threat to them and try to attack you. Unless you like that kind of stuff.
- Remember, you must respect your dragga or drappa. They have all of the authority over you whether you like it or not. If you do not like it, you may leave the pack. Or someone might even stick up for you. Regardless, being in a pack is a great privilege.
Birthing Rules:
- Make sure the dad and mom RPers of the litter post in the thread where you are requesting to have a litter.
- Your first litter will have 1-3 pups, just so you can get the hang of it the first time. The second to unlimited amount of litters can have up to 8.
- Make sure you have people to play your pups when they are old enough to really be Rped. We don’t want you and the dad to play all of them, that wouldn’t be fun. But if you want to, go for it by all means.
- If you are not a dragga or drappa, you should get their permission first. Most don’t like it, but if it is for drama, don’t. Just a request.
- Use the form that was given to you, and you may not get the perfect litter you wanted so be prepared for surprises.
- Everyone loves when wolves have pups, so have fun with ‘em! :]
Hunting Rules:
- Since prey are unpredictable, the staff will RP the scene while you are hunting. Don’t assume you are going to win your prey or go away without a scratch. Hunts are very dangerous, no matter what the prey. So don’t be surprised if someone gets hurt or if you run away empty handed. And yes, there are certain techniques to get certain types of prey. *Look in the site dictionary to find out the prey available, the secrets of hunting them successfully are to be unfolded by your characters. Good luck!
- Respect what the staff member decides to do with your hunt, no matter what they do. If you feel like they're just being mean then let another staff member know and we'll take care of it.
