Jaighlen opened her maw, ready to speak to Akascha, but her attention immediately turned to Tori who collapsed at her paws. She stood there for a moment, hardly breathing as she examined him to see what had happened. Unfortunately, as she found out, he had taken her statement to near-fatal literal terms. ” Inochitori...?” the white wolf breathed as her ears began folding back, tail tucking submissively in its place. No answer. Her heart seemed to skip a beat as a gasp was caught tightly in her throat. Her eyes widened to uncover dark black pools of fear and dread as memories flashed through her head. Her mother lying, blood splattered, as her father came closer to her innocent little frame. The mere scene of Jai’s mother falling dead before her eyes scent warning signals all along her body- then flashed the rage in her father’s blood-struck eyes, riddled with death.
The snow wolf’s breathing was erratic. Breathe in. out. in. out. Jai shook her ashen head that seemed paler than it already was. Her face, stone cold in a fixed expression of shock. She wasn’t even looking at Tori anymore. For all she knew, he could have just gotten up and flew to heaven. Her golden eyes were looking right past him. Right past the mountains in the distance for she saw nothing but blood and her cloudy past.
Slowly, Jaighlen backed away. With each step she felt like she was sinking deeper and deeper into the nightmare, the darkness pulling her in. And there she was again, drowining. Drowning in menacing darkness that had the consistency of blood. Her paws kicked at the ground as if it would help her mental situation as she drifted off deeper under consciousness. Suddenly, she collapsed. Her body began to shake uncontrollably and as crazy as Jai already seemed, this only added to her ‘good’ reputation. Her eyes closed shut as she tried to shun away the images. She huffed and grunted in dismay for they just wouldn’t go away.
Only the sound of Inochitori’s lucid voice broke her trance. Golden orbs existed again. Jai calmed herself as she slowly began to uncurl from what seemed like the wolf’s version of the fetal position. Oh so slowly, she suddenly realized she was on the ground and she had soiled her fur once again. However, that was the least of her worries. She slowly got back on her paws; the once solid stare was now reduced to barely a peek. Jai sat down once again, tail curled around her body as if to secure her. She felt ashamed. Of all moments, she just had to freak out in this one.

Akascha, who had suddenly come awake from her trance, looked at the wolf lying on the ground. A puzzled look overcame her features as she went through the previous things said. Drop dead Jai had said. Oh. So he was playing around. Akascha noticed this the first three seconds that Ino fell. Of course, it was a joke. Kasha could clearly hear his breathing and see the slight rise and fall of this chest. It wasn't necessarily the best joke and of course the ground would hurt, but Kasha still found it quite annoying. Her eyes looked down at him, filled with amusement and interest. She would have never done that. The ground looked way too tough for her 'delicate' features.
Now, when Akascha saw Jai freak out, everything seemed to turn around. Was Akascha mistaken? Had the wolf really died? She looked at Jai, slightly panicked. She hadn't known what to do about the other femme, who seemed to be going through a fit or a seizure or something of the sort. Akascha ahd no idea what to do for this kind of thing, so she sat silently watching, waiting, until Ino spoke. She glanced at him with a freaked out expression and turned her head back to the femme, who had surprisingly gotten a hold of herself again.
What Kasha breathed, was that?

He scared her! He had to laugh, hardly able to keep himself from laughing prematurely at Jaighlen's reaction. She actually fell for something like that? That was hilarious. But her eyes were unfocused and she completely ignored his touch, weird. Inochitori looked to Akascha to see what she made of this and found that she was much more worried about it than he was. Tori maintained a calm, almost scientific way of thinking. Jaighlen was freaking out, that was very interesting, he wanted to know why. Amber eyes returned to the grey femme, convulsing in a manner that caused him to tilt his head and sniff the air for any hormonal changes.
It had to be something from her past, Tori presumed because he didn't believe in receiving visions of the future, and whatever it was, it was bad which in Tori's way of thinking, probably meant it was really good and interesting. It was over after a few minutes and Jaighlen looked embarrassed, a completely different being than the one she had been. Instantly, Tori preferred the dominant, hard-headed Jaighlen to this meek little thing before him. Akascha's whisper had his attention back on her and he gave a glance to Jaighlen before answering her. "Do you think we just saw a case of demonic possession? Or do you think the demon just left?" Tori didn't believe in demons, but he figured it would make Jaighlen angry to hear such a thing and he rather liked that idea.
He really didn't like this upset Jaighlen, she would be better suited to be coddled and comforted than to fight against. How boring. Tori sighed and pushed himself up to stand, shaking his coat to rid himself of some of the dirt. Darker locks upon his back settled down again and he looked back to Akascha. "Maybe it was just the Ghost of Christmas Past..." He flashed a smile. Yeah, he was trying to push Jaighlen's buttons.
