The smell of pine filled his senses and forced him to sneeze. The white male paused and shook his head, he wasn't used to so much pollen even after a year of travelling on his own. Forests had all the vegetation the arctic lacked, but that was fine with him. Forests had their good qualities and it wasn't like he was allergic to them or something silly like that. Picking up where he left off in his step, Inochitori moved on with head and tail held high. His steps were light and the weight of his frame was evenly balanced, giving him the ability to weave in between the trees. Maybe some wolves got lost in here, but not Inochitori because, as he saw things, you had to have a destination in order to actually get lost. Seeing as he had no destination and no body that cared about where he was, he couldn't get lost. He was always here with himself and as long as he knew where his body was, he figured he was pretty well off.
The reality was though, that Tori had no idea where he was, which direction he had come from, or which direction he was headed for. The flittering birds in the treetops and the chattering squirrels weren't creatures to stop and ask for directions from either. But life was good. He was hungry and a little bored and getting a bit thirsty but it was all good. Little trivial things didn't need to be stressed over. Tori walked tall, his silky pelt rippling over taut muscles, the dark color swirling down his left front leg blurred with his quick pace. A small sniff of the air and both dark eyes and amber eyes focused on a spot just to his right and if his expression wasn't a wolfish grin, he didn't know what was.
"Aha, see? Piece of cake." He spoke to himself because it was fun and he enjoyed the sound of his voice when there was no one else to listen to, and even then, he still liked it. It wasn't the exit from the forest he found but a small source of water, a small, surprisingly clean pond. Inochitori stopped just short of the water's edge and found his footing with the least amount of muddy taint to the white of his paws and shook what would have been a mane if he had one. His tail flicked behind him triumphantly as he dipped his head to drink. See? Things worked out, it was easy.

Unfortunately, some wolves were not so lucky. Jaighlen had been angrily stalking through the forest, running to and fro, trying to find her way out. White fur ruffled and scuffed, she had just walked away from an unsuccessful hunt which had brought her to the forest where she had been wondering around for a while now. Surprisingly, she retained composure and held her temper down [for who knows what would have happened if she exploded now]. This left her on a short fuse that could easily light if she didn’t get out of here pretty soon. All she wanted to do was get back to the mountains where the snowy terrain welcomed her winter fur. The brown and amber leaves did not leave comfort to her which only fueled her anger even more.
“Great. I’m lost again. Look what you’ve gotten yourself into this time, Jaighlen.” She muttered to herself, head pointed low as she tried to follow any scent that would lead her out of here. But it led to no avail. With a grunt of discontentment, she plopped down into the dirt, sending a cloud of russet dust into the air and onto her snowy pelt. “AHH great!” she fumed as she began uncontrollably grooming her fur. One of her pet peeves: a dirty coat. But then, Jai froze. Her eyes directed toward a familiar shape. Wolf. Definitely wolf. she thought to herself. Her muscles tensed as she slowly rose from her spot, keeping her golden gaze directed at the figure. A sound reached her poised ears. Water. Her body tensed again as she took a silent step backward. That however, was not a sign of submission. She used that foot to support herself as she arched her back in the dominant pose. Tail thrown up and back fur raised, she stood on her tiptoes, making the grandest attempt to look bigger. Jaighlen was not a wolf to back down. Especially now, when food and water lay elsewhere from her empty belly.
Ooc.// btw. if you couldnt tell, the things in italics are her thoughs. I hope thats how the system works here O.o Thats how it was at my old rp site xD

His drink was rather delightful and he enjoyed every minute of it, relaxing in the shade of the trees and the cool touch of water to his parched throat. His tranquility did not last though, the sound of a rustled caused by a bigger creature than just a squirrel, unless it was a mighty noisy squirrel, had his dark ears perking and swirving to pinpoint the owner. It wasn't like he was worried. Most wolves didn't attack others without some sort of warning and he counted on that to some extent. It wouldn't be awful if he was attacked from behind, it'd happened before, he'd got out of it relatively in tact, it wasn't a big problem. His interests did grow when he heard her voice though.
Hmm, talking to herself, he mused, a spark of amusement lighting his eyes. She seemed troubled, didn't she? Inochitori slowly turned around, making great pains to remain silent as he did. Silly little white lupa, what had she gotten herself into? She found her footing and the hackles were up a second later. He stood her, almost mirroring her though his body language was a bit different. He was dominant; his tail and head raised, ears forward, and confident; no tension, no raised fur, no teeth shown. His head tilted slightly and he let silence fall between them before moving a step forward and a few steps to the side so that he was not only closer but not guarding the water or at that awkward standstill. Yeah, he gave it to her. Why? Because it was fun to see if she'd take it.
"Now what's all that about? You seem a bit on edge, I didn't cause that did I, Pretty One?" Inochitori liked flirting and did it often whether he was honestly interested in what was in front of him or not. It was interesting to see how others reacted to his flirting and he figured it would calm her some. She seemed like that type, but he'd been wrong before and there was nothing to say he wouldn't be this time around. As civil as he seemed, Tori's mind was not on courting the lupa or making friends, no, he was wondering how much fun he could have with her. How much would she tell him? How quickly would she leap to a fight, especially after he quelled her? That was the whole point to relationships with other loners, and he figured this one was just because she didn't seem all that stable. That was what he hungered for.

Jaighlen flashed her teeth, taking a step forward as she examined the opposite wolf further. It didn’t relax her in the fact that he didn’t back down to her but rather side-stepped to let her through. And a rather arrogant remark just made it all the harder to keep herself from slashing his throat open. However, she kept silent, holding his gaze to her own as she tried sending mental threats which of course would never reach him. Jai just stared, quiet and unmoving, but her restlessness got the better of her as her throat called for water. Only for a moment did her eyes tear away from his. She advanced only steps toward the water before glancing at him once again then repeating the number of steps she took last time. The white wolf continued this sort of dance until she reached the edge of the water. Her body won over her mind, which was screaming to tear the lupo apart for getting in her way. However, water was more important for right now.
Still ignoring the male’s statement, Jaighlen lowered her head, keeping a cautious side view in his direction. She slowly lapped at the water, enjoying every bit of it knowing that unless she ran into another chance puddle or a stream she wouldn’t get any more. Her body was angled backward with her paws buried firmly into the ground as if she was being pulled forward by a strange force and her body was fighting back. This was due to her irrational fear of water- drowning in that matter. Yet a single puddle like this still scared her, bringing back memories from her past which she had tried her best to forget.
Once she drank her fill, Jaigh backed away, assuming her original pose toward the stranger. A growl resonated deep in her throat as she took a somewhat threatening step toward him. Would he back down now? Jaighlen could see now that she packed with a bit more muscle than he, even for a female wolf and now she wondered if she was bigger. Dominance. That’s what she sought after. Her lips curled to expose finely sharpened canines that were just as pearly white as her fur. Still, she said nothing. Jai was merely testing the wolf to see if he would tempt the wolf inside her that was ready to rip apart anything in her way.

OOC: wow, you guys posted a lot. I guess I'll join here.
It seemed impossible, for the looming gray wolf to walk through the forest unnoticed and without a sound. Her large shape and immense fur made her look completely ridiculous in the forest; where gray should've been so easily visible. Then again, how could you find something you weren't looking for? And there would be no one looking for the gray wolf, nor would anyone think to look for her. After all, out of sight, out of mind. And she was out of sight, despite her fur color clashing greatly with the underbrush and such. As she moved forward, not particularly looking for anything, she seemed to stumble upon two different scents. Literally, she stumbled.
Akascha's mind had never been able to focus on boring things. Her brain had programmed every step she took and she could easily find her way back. It was just the way the hunter's mind worked, despite her thoughts being elsewhere. But when Akascha's body was forced to attention at the scent of other wolves, she lost her bearings, tripped, and almost smacked her face into a tree. Luckily enough, she had regained balance right before actually attacking the tree.
Akascha had never been an overly submissive or an overly dominant figure, except for when she was joining a pack. Most pack alphas required submission and respect to join and many of them wanted it, if it was not required. Therefore, Akascha, for her own benefit, as often very submissive to her Dragga or Drappa. But, in the woods, in unclaimed territory, Akascha had no reason to be submissive. She caught the scent of water, coming from where the wolves were, and figured it would be extremely beneficial to drink now.
Unfazed by the arguing wolves, Akascha stepped into the area the other two wolves were in. She had entered on the other side of the pond. Her eyes looked forward in a non-threatening way. She didn't seek out fights or trouble, but if it beckoned her, she would hardly disagree. She remained neutral; her tail wasn't raised or tucked, her ears weren't pinned or pointed, just swiveling to hear sounds, and her eyes avoided staring. She had watched the other femme move cautiously and figured she'd announce herself with a bark.
Hello, Akascha offered before dipping her head into the pond. Her advanced ears listened for any movements toward her as she drank. Of course, she wouldn't let herself get taken by surprise, nor would she allow someone to get the upper hand on her. So, as she drank, she was alert and ready, but not threatening.
Akascha, being a gray wolf, had an obviously bulky, tall figure. The visible bulk was all muscle; she had strength, speed, and great reflexes. She would make a formidable opponent even if she didn't have any fighting experience, and unlucky for anyone who fought her, she had fought many times before. Her body was used to dodges and counters, as well as attacks and surprise moves. Her tallness was also something to watch out for, because she knew how to use it.

At first the female seemed rather boring. Was that all she planned to do? Stand and threat until he did something? Being a hyper creature, Inochitori's mind often fought with his body's natural and trained calm patience. She was taking a while to do anything interesting and Tori didn't really have anything to add or do to the situation. He had tried, she didn't respond at all to his flirting. He was very close to calling her nothing, huffing, and moving to find a more interesting being when she did do something. A glance away, a pause, a few steps toward the water. She was a thirsty girl. Another thin smile appeared on his furred features and he took a seat, curling his tail around his delicate feet. He was a spectator at a game or a movie-goer in a theatre. Something like that.
She continued her same silly routine until finally hitting the water she so desired and drinking from it. It was awkward the way she went about it and he couldn't help but tilt his head in a curious manner, he liked tilting his head and did it often. Her growl didn't phase him and neither did the return of that dominant, a bit defensive posture. No, instead he stood and trot pleasantly closer. He dipped under her chin like a cat, not touching any part of her with his body except his tail as it stroked the underside of her jaw.
He was very surprised, even a little startled, to hear a bark of greeting from across the tiny pond. The water wasn't deep or wide enough to act as a barrier between them. This new female, by appearance and neutral posture, was the oddball of the mix. Grey, not white and in no way threatening but thankfully not submissive. He couldn't stand when others rolled over to strangers, it was ridiculous and usually meant they weren't any fun in fights. His back was to the white female, even his ears were ignoring her, the new female had all his attention.
"Tsk, and I thought I wouldn't find anyone interesting here." Oh yeah, he was having some fun, amused with the situation. If Jaighlen was unstable then Akascha was meek in Tori's eyes. He wondered briefly if Akascha would step in, watch, or run if he and Jaighlen got into it but the thought was gone quickly. "Come join the party, don't be a stranger." If a wolf's voice could purr, his did in the sulty way he talked the majority of the time. He really did like socializing, loved it, but he loved it a lot more when things turned violent.
[[Ooc :: Hey, did this from my phone and now I go to bed. I should get a few posts in tomorrow but I'm going out later that night to work the door at a club.]]

Jaighlen rolled her eyes at Tori’s infuriating behavior. It amused her as much as a flee nipping at her rear. Actually, it was simply that; a bug that hindered her from the task ahead. But what would that be? Getting lost again before exploding into a furious ball of broken wolf? No- might as well end this thing either with a simple leave or a fight and knowing Jai, it was usually the latter. However, her actions were interrupted by a sound that was similar to her own which, like Tori, turned her full attention to the new wolf. Then a greeting rang through her ears, clear and simple. Atleast this wolf has enough sense to be straight forward. But almost immediately, Jaighlen knew that this wolf would not flee from the scene. She didn’t seem scared nor timid but just normal. Great. Three somewhat dominant loners placed conveniently in the same spot. How interesting.
Yet there he goes again. The male throwing out his condescending comments once again and turning his back to her as if she was nothing but dust. ”Humph.” she grunted stepping forward, tensing her muscles a bit once again. ”Hello.” Her eyes followed the wolf from the top of her nose to the tip of her tail and Jaighlen immediately knew that this wolf was larger than herself. She took a slightly dominant pose once again, but leaving Tori behind her, she let her anger cool a bit to address the newcomer.

What's interesting all depends on the wolf. Akascha told him, somewhat unconcerned. Her eyes lifted as she finished her drink and she looked him in the eyes. Her golden flecked orbs then flicked to the femme. For example; the way she just moved to get water was interesting, Akascha gave a wolfy smile as she stepped through the water, sitting in front of Tori. She could see both him and the female behind him perfectly well and was in a position where she could totally take control of the situation if it became ugly. Now she had a space to run without hitting another wolf, and could watch both of them at once. Did I interrupt a lover's quarrel, or are you two just having a freindly banter? Akascha grinned to herself, trying to keep herself from spacing out in the middle of a conversation, which she tended to do.
I'm Akascha, by the way, she told them, licking her chops in a way that made her seem hungry. She looked between the two wolves. Something told her they wouldn't tag team, and this male was more for flirting than fighting. The female, though, she couldn't be sure of. Perhaps it was just the way she was on edge, despite the fact that no one had made a move to injure her. Then again, Akascha hadn't been there for the start of their conversation. So, big boy, what do I call you? Maybe it was just because of the mood she was in, or maybe she just felt like amusing herself, but she sounded particularly flirtatious at that moment. You, too, femme. What is your name?

Oh, Jaighlen's grumpy attitude and the way she was trying her best to ignore him and keep calm was amusing him so much that Inochitori couldn't help but give a small wiggle, disguised as shifting and resettling. She stepped in front of him in some show of dominance and that irritated him, an ear flicked back to show it, but a second later it was perked again. Akascha's words made her ten times more interesting than the first female. She had also noted the white lupa's strange actions when drinking a moment prior and it made Inochitori's smile twist. Amber eyes sparked with interest and turned on Jaighlen, hesitating there in thought before flicking to Akascha.
"I agree, very observant of you." She came close, sitting down so that she was between the two of them, which admittedly made things a little less fun. Jaighlen was more likely to fight when he was within easy reach. Did she interrupt them? Inochitori ate that question up. A lover's quarrel, oh he could have laughed. He grinned, flicking his eyes to the white female then back to the larger grey one. "Yes, yes we were. She's becoming very, very troublesome, you see. I'm thinking of finding someone else." That, right there, was a red flag. Wolves mated for life and he was really no different, maybe a little more anxious to have flings with others, but if Jaighlen meant anything to him, he wouldn't have spoken in such a manner. If that wasn't clear to Akascha, that was her problem, not his.
Akascha, as she now introduced herself, was eating up his flirtations and throwing them back. The expression in her eyes and the tone in her voice, he wondered if it was a ruse or seriously. Unfortunately for Akascha, if she were serious, it was a bit of a turn off for him. He preferred the hard to get females. It didn't stop him from playing though. Their names were asked for and Inochitori's white tail uncurled and gave a calm wag of interest. He held himself high when giving his name. "Inochitori Namida." Tori was tired of this sitting around and making small talk crap, he wanted to move. He could be patient, but he saw no reason to be so now, it took a bit of work to do so and he found it to be unnecessary right now.
The white male stood, shaking off his coat lightly so that the silky looking locks fell in the right way. He took a few steps around Akascha, testing his luck and rubbing against her with the side of his body, it wasn't enough of a touch to push her off balance but it worked well for 'testing the waters'. "What are pretty girls like you doing in a place like this, anyway?" He circled her and used the space between Jaighlen and Akascha to return to where he had been sitting before. He was totally harmless, see?

The white wolf said nothing in reply to her comment about her behavior. She dismissed this like she always did when someone noticed and many did, usually just arriving at no explanation. And there she finally snapped. ”A lover’s quarrel?! With that piece of trash? Never.” Jaighlen scoffed, sending a piercing glare in Tori’s direction. She immediately dismissed their comments about her behavior but the commentary on their fight was not welcome. Her claws dug deeper into the dirt as her fur began to rise once again. And Inochitori’s affirmation just made it all the worse. Jai would have to kill herself before mating with a pain like him.
Jaighlen sighed, finding that the new arrival was just as irritatingly flirtatious as Tori. “Jaighlen Naurl.” She murmured, closing her eyes in a sort of cat-like expression. The others seemed to have gotten friendly with each other and fighting now would resort to a sort of two to one advantage. She sat down on the spot, lifting her gaze once again. This time she was focused on the femme. Once again, she ignored the male in return for ignoring her threat.

Kasha wasn't dumb. She obviously picked up on the hints of sarcasm and the tension that seemed to bolt across the short distance between them. Sshe couldn't have cared less. Their problems had nothing to do with her and quite frankly, she didn't really care. She was there to seek out company and to enjoy a bit of free time. Flirting wasn't her specialty, but then again, she wasn't completely terrible at it. And quite frankly, the up tight female wasn't helping her mood at all. So, she focused more on the male first, grinning and coming as close to a giggle as possible for her.
Got any nicknames Ino...? She lifted her eyes to his, a faint smile painting her wolfy teeth. Her canines were white and jagged; the perfect thing to rip out throats, which is what she did on quite a few ocassions. How else was she going to bring a buck down? Tori seemed to pick the right fem to rub up against, because Akascha noted that Jaighlen was about to rip his throat out, which may not have been as fun for her. It was never fun to watch; she had to do. And at the moment, she felt like playing along with this male's games, although she had no intention of taking it seriously.
Akascha pressed her body slightly against his as he passed by. Tori had no idea what he was getting himself into; by all means, this was a game to her, but she liked to win games. She loved to win games. So the battle began between them. Akascha gave a quick smile as he settled back in his former position. If I told you what I was here for, I'm sure you'd find me less attractive, Akascha said with an air of flirtation around her.
Suddenly becoming aware of the femme, who had now spoken again, Akascha jumped lightly. It was just a little twitch that would probably go unnoticed to all but herself. Unless, of course, they were watching her intently. Jaighlen? I like it, Akascha told her honestly. Her brain had now processed that there were three of them, and the conversation shouldn't only focus on her flirtation and the male who seemed to want fun, but it should focus on all three of them.
It seems you have bothered this pretty young lady, Akascha noted. She doesn't seem to like your games, Ino. Maybe you should apologize? She was only half joking, of course, because it seemed that this wolf didn't like to play around very much.

He was a piece of trash? A small growl left from his throat but it was more insulted than threatening. Inochitori glared at the white wolf for a moment, filing her words into his brain for later use. She'd pay for that, he'd make sure of it, but not now. His narrowed eyes brightened and turned delightful once again. He gave a smile and a shrug, looking to both females as he spoke. "Guess I was mistaken." He had to give Jaighlen some points though, she had more patience than a sloth, there was still an unknown number of layers for him to whittle away at. Tori was asked if he had any nicknames, receiving one he was actually familiar with in the same breath.
"Whatever you're up for giving me..." He leaned forward, cocking his head slightly as he did so, but he had to lean back and chuckle at Akascha's next comment. "Or I could find you more attractive." His voice purred despite the fact that hidden within his words was an inside joke. He didn't find her all that attractive now. Akascha suddenly became set on making sure no one was left out, which was fine with him because he didn't want Jaighlen to up and leave because she was being ignored. That would just be no fun. "Apologize?" He echoed her words, dropping one ear to the side and tilting his head in the other direction from which it was cocked.
Amber eyes shifted to Jaighlen, his full attention resting on her for a moment. His voice lost it's purring quality and gained a darker, more threatening tone. "I don't apologize to Tarts." Or anyone for that matter. Apologies were not on Tori's list of things he ever did and were far from the list of things he liked to do. His gaze shifted back to Akascha and his normal tone of voice returned. "If she doesn't like it, she should do something about it."

“You can just drop dead for all I care,” Jaighlen barked back, clearly taking offense from his comment. Her mind raced for a moment as she tried to think of an offensive word to throw back at him, but nothing came to her. She scratched her mind for a few more heartbeats before losing interest in firing back a clever retort. Jai wasn’t much of a quick thinker anyway. She was one for action and with that, she bared her teeth once again. ”and if you want me to do something about it, why don’t you step this way and find out?” she tempted, a low growl forming deep in her throat. Jai has had it with this male. The only thing that helped her tolerate this torture was the fact that another wolf was in presence and she hadn’t made allies with either of them.
Without turning her solid gaze away from Tori, she replied to Akascha’s comment. ”Thankyou.” she appreciated the effort to pull her into the conversation, but of all the images running through her mind at the moment, the one of ripping Inochitori’s little pelt off was the most prominent. Now this is why you should rarely place three loners together in one setting, especially this bunch of wolves.
She slowly turned her gaze onto Akascha with a slightly curve to the end of her lips but the distaste for the male was clear in her eyes. ”What did bring you here?” Jai inquired. For sure her story was much better than Jaighlen’s reason for being in the forest, but now as she thought of it, Jaighlen just wished she turned back and never bumped into Tori in the first place. It would have saved her a lot more trouble that seemed to be worth more than a measly drink of water.

Ino it is Akascha stated quite calmly. Her head wasn't a jumble of thoughts; she actually had three different streams seemingly working at once. The one was her random thoughts; just accumulating together and solving unknown problems that she didn't need answers to in here head. The other two were the words said to her by either wolf, collecting in her memory and being analyzed over and over again until she had a clear generalization of what that wolf was about. She also used this odd method to think of things to say or do.
Akascha perked her brows. You don't apologize? The comment itself wasn't so complicated but everything else about it was what got to her. Really? for some reason, that stuck to her. Someone who didn't apologize was someone who didn't feel sorry for what they did. He had to have had somethign to apologize for; maybe even apologize silently. But to never apologize was a thought that apalled Akascha. How else were you supposed to admit you were wrong? Obviously, the wolf in front of her wasn't always right. A look of deep concentration had taken over her features; another weird spec of being around Akascha. You got to see her reactions to different things, which were, at most times, hilarious.
You're welcome, Akascha had answered before she herslef had processed it. She looked at the femme. Why was she there? It seems fate has brought me here. Because if it wasn't fate, I have no idea what urged me to come here. Perhaps that instinct that runs deep to have socialization? Or maybe I was hungry. I can't quite remember anymore, surely the statement didn't make any sense. The wolf didn't know where she was going; not in the sense that she was lost, but in the sense that she had no purpose of being there. Perhaps either of you have a better story; though for Ino I'm sure it was to find someone to tease. She grinned at him, despite the discomfort in the air.
Akascha, who had started to fade in and out of conversations, knew that her body was starting to shut down. Talking didn't bore her, but it was like the repetition of words, syllables, etc, was all such an overly used process. It would be much easier to learn how to talk with her mind. Of course, no one would be really open to do that. But, she could at least try.

Still irritated with Jaighlen, a small smile rose to his lips at Akascha's words. "I said I didn't apologize to Tarts." He pointed out slyly. "Though you're not wrong." It was Jaiglen's words that really had him interested.
“You can just drop dead for all I care.”
Oh, really? Inochitori perked at that idea, the threatening attitude he had been portraying was gone in an instant. He gave a huge grin to Akascha before his face went blank and he fell right over, towards Jaighlen. He didn't flinch before hitting the ground and his eyes dulled, he didn't allow the life-filled spark they usually carried to ruin this game. He had 'died'. On command, he simply dropped dead. The ground wasn't the softest thing he could have fallen onto but it was soft enough that it wouldn't have hurt anyone else and it certainly didn't hurt him. Tori allowed each of the girls a moment to react before ressurrecting himself back to life.
He rolled to his tummy and poked his nose at Jaighlen's feet. "How was that for you? Sorry, I didn't have any blood to use but I think you got the idea without it. It would be better if you let me use yours." His voice was playful and obviously happy with what he had achieved, his threat seemed much more shallow now that he was acting like this. His silly manner was almost like a pup and he had no problem with that. The grey female went on about fate and what brought her to where she was sitting now by Jaighlen's request, but it was rather boring and Tori didn't care to pay much attention until his name was brought up. Grinning ear to ear, he looked at her and nodded, still laying on the ground upon his stomach. "Oh absolutely. Teasing's what I live for." Not. He lived for gore and fighting, even if he did really like teasing.
