Rælyn was born in the Rocky mountains alongside her sister Teekah. The family were always on edge from the constant threat of packs and larger predators like bears which were abundant in the area. As they grew, her parents begun to notice that Teekah was different and there was something odd about her. While Rælyn was always positive and eager to learn to become a good wolf. Teekah was the opposite and would rebel against the lessons they were given as she knew that Rælyn was the more favoured cub. Rælyn begun to notice how unfairly Teekah was being treated and when she spoke out she was punished also, but because she feared her parents harshness she dared not step out of line again in fear that their anger would be turned on her also. She also noticed how as the punishments on Teekah grew, so did her hate. Rælyn grew strong from the lessons from her parents.
A harsh winter swept the Rocky Mountains and with food scarce the family begun to suffer in the cold. The Elkryn that would pass by at the time of year had moved on quickly. Her father went out scouting for food. After being gone for a week he came back wounded badly with his right hind leg in tatters. He had tracked down an Elk that had backtracked through the mountain after being seperated from the others. When he had moved in for the kill a bear had attacked him from behind and clawed at his leg. By the time he made it back to his family the wound had become infected and wasn't healing properly. Rælyn, being the peaceful, caring one, rushed to his side to help him. She was mortified when she woke to find her parents dead by Teekahs jaws and she confronted Teekah, delivering a powerful blow to her sisters face before chasing her away.
Rælyn grieved for 3 moons, not leaving her parents sides for any reason other than to chase down small rodents to eat. It was when she realised that she had lost everything that was trully dear to her, everything that she had taken for granted, was gone, that she begun to hate her sister. It was also then that Rælyn knew that just injuring Teekah wasn't enough to pay for what Teekah had done. Rælyn set off into the world, her sole aim to avenge her parents deaths by taking her sisters life. Only then would she truly be able to move on in life without being haunted by past memories.
