The wind was chasing him, forcing him further and further into the wood. Death, slowly, began to tinge his unseeing eyes. He let out a sharp yelp as his white fur began to shed by force of the winds. Haven was up ahead.. a shining, glimmering point of hope. It's large, grey cavern walls showed no weakness, and within, even though there could be any number of deadly creatures, none would be as bad as the wind. The Stalker leaped into safety, but he crashed against the rocks, the warm feeling of blood tinging his skin....
The white dog started up with a quick yelp. The night had not been kind to his dreams, but morning had come. The nightmares were more and more violent as time went on, Sinthis was beginning to think time was changing rapidly. He knew a normal wolf would be scared, but the large white creature wasn't capable of that. He jumped onto a nearby rock, and held his nose into the sky, sniffing for something
A rabbit hole. Perfect.. Sinthis licked his lips. The scent was great, there had to be a family. His blue eyes rolled thoughtfully, although he was not aware. It was breeding season for the rabbits, and they were somewhat rare in this part of Karvou. If the female was already pregnant, he would simply eat the male. It would make for a nice snack, as the caribou had been getting harder to catch lately, and Sinthis had not eaten in almost a month. Hunting would have to begin soon, and all the creatures in his territory knew that the wolf would soon begin to prowl.

A fae had been walking through the forest. Her dome was held high, auds flicked forward, and maw open. Her tongue slipped out between her jowls, ivories dripping spittle onto the ground. Her pelt was sleek and clinging to her petitie form, a rich amber red with smoky black pillars and ruff. Her dark chocolate orbs stared forward, without the least of expressions. Muscles rippled under the sleek pelt, and pillars moved with perfect grace. Banner was held high, and she moved like she was royalty but the fae could not help it.
In her old life, she was the dragga's daughter. Though she had been chased off, she had then been made drappa. Royalty ran through her blood, so no lupine can blame her for acting like it. Her poise was to direct, her stance just to...cocky. The fae was a maned wolf who liked to annoy some lupines, but was also neutral and good at making friends.
The fae smiled slightly then it was wiped from her maw. she stopped walking, muscles tensing and her banner coming to curl around her pillars. She stared from the shadows, spotting another lupine, a lupo. Pure white and looked like he could do some damage. She clamped her jowls shut and ducked her dome, backing up quickly. She didn't want to be spotted, oh no. Fellacido Cielo didn't want to cause trouble.

Something stepped off in the distance. Who dared walk into the uncrowned lord of Mandrageda's territory? The pure white lupo's auds began to twitch, the deep blue pools of his orbs dilating. He moved his large body up, letting out a grunt as his long legs stretched out. He jumped onto the grass and turned his body around to face the intruder. His nose began to twitch, this wasn't an arctic wolf, and she smelled female. The lupa didn't seem entirely familiar, but the scent was reminiscent of a forest. At least the fae wasn't a stranger to this type of terrain.
His great figure moved forward, about three spans. His claws dug into the grass, as he let out a low growl, pitching it to mean "Who approaches my territory?" and then began relaxing back into a sitting position, head held high. "Actually, I enjoy company. If you would like, come forward. But please, still answer the question." he tried to put on his most sincere face. Having been blind since birth, he wasn't entirely sure if he was doing it right but the lupo figured it was good enough.
Generally speaking, few came into The Stalker's territory. That was a shame, for Sinthis really did like company, or at least as much as a psychopathic wolf could. It gave him a chance to practice treachery, plus whenever a lupa came in, he had to at least try for pups. He was, after all, approaching the age when many expected wolves to have a mate. At least that was how it was in the Mandrageda pack, open breeding as long as the numbers never exceeded forty.
Maybe this one was different. He wasn't sure about it, but the fae seemed to be a maned wolf. The scent of them wasn't all that distinct, but they weren't a member of the Canis. No, they were something else. But they were a canid, which was good enough to smell almost like a grey or forest wolf. The arctic wolves themselves had an odd scent, it was bland. For the amount their pelt shed, it made sense in his mind.
To try to imitate welcoming, his great body relaxed, the muscles going from a tensed, attack ready state into a flattened one. Since he had been a lone wolf for so long, the beast had large muscles, even for an arctic of his size. But he didn't eat well enough to have any fat reserves, so his body held thin year-round.

Fellacido Cielo slunk forward, dome down and orbs staring a head. She let a small smile play on her jowls, the first emotion she had shown in a while though it was a small flash before it dissapeared. She was not the lupa others expected her to be. She was different...different then what others thought. She killed lupines when she needed to defend herself, and fought when needed to defend others. She also brought peace, not only destruction. She wasn't one with light or dark, but colliding with the dangerous depths of neutral. No one could guess what she would do, for she was a mystery that not one lupo or lupa could unravel, or so that had been the problem...until now maybe.
Her pelt pricked, standing on end, though still clung to her petite form. She let her tongue escape her jowls as she spoke, spittle dripping on the ground "Who am I you ask? My calling is Fallecido Cielo. I am a maned wolf, and you are?" she spoke, orbs dancing with a un-named emotion. Her lips twitched, ivories bared still. Her auds where back against her dome, and it went up a bit high. Her banner waved back and forth, making a whisking sound.
Fallecido was a bit in trudged about the lupo before him. She had come here on purpose, though not to make trouble at the moment. She had a good temper and didn't want to fight, unless she was attacked first. He seemed harmless enough and didn't seem to want to hurt her but talk to her. She was ok with this, if he didn't try to fuck her either. The last brute who had tried had been murdered by she.

The large canine held his tail erect, and he inclined his head, as if he was going to whisper, but the words came out loud and clear. "I am Sinthis Mandrageda, last living member of the Mandrageda line." The white fur of the lupo swayed a bit to a slight breeze, as he looked to the side, as if ashamed.
As long as this one did not mean to cause him trouble, she would make good company for a day. "So tell me, maned wolf, why have you come to Karvou? It is a very confusing landscape, if you do not know its tricks. Unless of course, you came seeking something. Then it is not so hard to track something."
Yes, why was she here? Hopefully it was an accident, if she was seeking something his territory, things might get violent. Last time someone had wandered into his territory for hunting, he slew them quickly. One who does not feel remorse makes for an efficient murderer.

Doming turning to the side, the fae listened to him speak. She noticed the ashamed look he gaze and that puzzled her. Why should he be ashamed for being the last of his line? She stepped forward, mere inches from him now and spoke, auds pricked "The last of your line? Do you feel ashamed of that? There is nothing wrong with being the last of your line, for you are a lupo. You can carry it on with your blood" she murmured, a smile playing on those black lips of hers. She knew how it felt to be the last, for in truth, her siblings where gone and her parents...well she doubted they where still alive. So, he was not the only one who felt the weight. She sympathized him, but it wasn't pity, no not pity.
When the brute spoke again, she was not surprised. This was his home and she was trespassing. He had a right to know why she was here, on his land. In truth, she had sought him out. Curiousty had burned through her veins when she caught wind of him. Why should she not come to see him? This lupo who many spoke of. So instead of lying, she spoke clearly and truthfully "I caught wind of lupines talking about you, and how you lived here. I was curious and came forth to meet you. I am sorry for trespassing on your land and I do not mean to cause trouble" she murmured as her dome came down in front of his paws.
Fallecido would take any punishment he gave. Why should she refuse at all? He was the brute who had spotted her in HIS lands. He had all the right ad she wouldn't resist. Her bodice shivered though she did not back off. No, she took what she got.

When she asked him why he was ashamed, his eyes widened for a few seconds and he become alert again. "I have a very.. confusing past." There was no need to let this stranger know his secrets. His mouth soon met with saliva, and he began to move to one side. He could feel her, not terribly large, but not the tiniest wolf either. Many had no clue they made small vibrations in the Earth just by standing, and Sinthis, with his senses so acute, could feel them. So distant, as if he was in a void, feeling nothing except for thoughts skipping across a lake of emptiness.
When the next words came out, his calm collection was shattered. Had he earned some form of reputation? That was the last thing he wanted. The Stalker thrived in secrecy. Maybe he was becoming a bit lax, after all, he hadn't had much reason to be as uptight now, very little happened in Karvou.
"Oh, I had not realized other lupines spoke of me. Well then, if it is I you have come for, then it is I who you have found. For what purpose have you sought me, Lupa?"

Esperanza felt her auds prick a bit at his confession. His past was confusing? Ah, she wouldn't press him, for she did not want others to know of her's. Murdering her own alpha, though he had derserved it. She had not wanted to be bred and he had tried so pure instinct told her to kill. She only fought to defend herself, and that's why was neutral and not a dark lupa. Taking a deep breath, she spoke "I will not press you about your past for I would not want my past forced out" she murmured softly, her dome still on the ground at his feet. She lifted it then to look straight at him, for it was rude to speak to someone and not look at them. She had manners, even if other's did not know about it.
Letting her gaze wander, she listened to him speak, and was startled at his surprised tone. Her dome whipped to him and her brow furrowed. Did he not know that many spoke of him, though some of it was good? She was stunned by this, but still she had pried for a lot of information about him. He was an interesting brute, and she was greatly interested in him. Smiling to herself, she spoke once more, her lyrics calm and full of respect "As I said before, I was merely curious. I mean no harm to you, no disrespect, and I will not take anything from your home. If I am a bother, I apologize and will leave. I was taught better then to bother lupines and force my present on them" She turned her dome away once more, feeling silly for this.

Very, very odd. The Lupa seemed to be, curious, about him. That was one emotion he had not been able to imitate very well as a child, the one that often got his parents worried. But he had done better now, and as for the moment he almost felt a tinge of curiosity himself, or at least something. Sometimes that happened, when he became startled, which was an emotion as well. But why ponder such, it was just a fact of life.
"No, no. You are no bother, Lupa. But, may I ask what these canidae have said about me? I trust it is nothing too terrible." he spoke in a slightly high tone, as if questioning, and then evening it out lowly near the end. Whatever it was, he wanted to know. Perhaps he would need to change territories if the answer was too spiteful. Bad neighbors was as bad as if justice embodied came to Sinthis' territory.

A teasing smile played upon her maw as he questioned if the words where bad or good about him. Instead of answering quickly, she ran through everything the lupines had said about him. Not one had been bad, but most where fearful for they knew the brute who lived here was strong and very protective of his home. Some where mildly curious while other's just spoke and then left, emotionless. She chuckled at the thought and flicked her gaze to him, feeling almost giddy. She didn't want to keep the information away from him to long or he might think the things they said about her where bad and might leave and she wouldn't see him again.
Taking a deep breath, she spoke "Nothing was spoken bad about you. Some where curious, some where scared, though not in a bad way, and some where just emotionless. Everything about you was good, nothing putting another bad against you" her lyrics where calm because she was not lying. He could trust her, but she didn't know if he would. It was his own decision.

"Well if you have nothing to tell me, I must attend to gathering meat." he said in his most regal voice. "Sometimes I wonder.. what does a rabbit look like. I have not been able to see anything.." he mused, shaking his head and standing. The white fur on his back rippled as he knelt and held his nose to the ground. Tracks, several of them. Very, very interesting.
There wasn't usually rabbits at High, Sinthis normally had to sniff them out of their holes. But they were bounding around. Something wrong was happening, the natural cycles of his precious home were breaking. And an Elkyrn. He had not tasted the large beast in quite awhile, not since before Mandrageda had disbanded. But the creature would be too great for even He to slay, so instead he just crossed the rabbits and found which were mates and which was an old male.
"If you do have more to say, stalk with me." he added, and began to slowly walk towards the tracks course. He felt the spirit rush within him, memories of every generation past in his bloodline began to burn. His unseeing, helpless, unknowing eyes began to slit, and Sinthis felt the void come over him, an emptiness, where everything was distant. Not that anything was ever close, but in this, Sinthis was a stagnant pond of water. Every thought skipping across like a flat rock. He saw it, shining, calling to him. The abilities of the Arctics, their entire knowledge, as if some sort of eternal energy lying in wait just for him to open. He was about to consume himself when he remembered the maned, and shook off the void. Only if he was actually going to hunt would he become his true guise.
