The winter wind blew through the terra. The sky was dark, a royal midnight blue. Star's sprinkled here and there, glowing brightly. A quarter moon was up, casting a very faint line of silver across the night, giving some light. A soft wind swirled through the night, blowing through the snow and through the pelt of a small lupa who was making her way through the night. The lupine was small, for she was a artic wolf. Her dome was lowered to the terra, auds pinned, and pillar's moving gracefully, though her banner was tucked. Her silken pelt was the purest of snowy white, and clung to her small frame. Her bodice was round though, for she pregnant with pups. The fae had eaten well, for she caught her own small prey, but still she was not at ease. Being a omega, any of the lupine's could kill her pups.
Shaking her dome, the young thing stopped as she neared her home. It was a small den that she had slowly dug into a small snow covered hill. It was warm and cozy, and there was a small tunnel and at the back was a small open space where she would have her pups. Panting, the little thing crawled inside her den and laid down at the entrance. The pups where not due yet, but still, this would be her first litter and she was a bit hesitant. Being at the age of five, she should have had a litter before, but only now had she found a brute, though Cain wasn't much of a mate for he had a harem of fae's.
Laying on her side, Esperanza stared into the night. She was tired, being up all day and her pregnancy making it harder on her stamina. Now, she just wanted to sleep and relax, but it would not be that way. Already the wind brought forth the smell of Ava and Cain, so she knew she had company. Letting a sigh escape those jowls of her's, she managed to roll onto her stomach, wincing at that, and lift her dome. She waited patiently, in a ok mood. She had known Cain would come, so her pelt was clean and beautiful and she was trying not to act to arrogant for his wrath was not something she wanted. No, Esperanza had to be careful, and to be good.

A black mass stood out from the rest of the snow and slithered its way along the mountain. Yellow eyes searched around looking for his sister, but all he saw was snow. The past few days have been major stress on Cain. How could his sister have put herself in danger like that? How could she put her life on the line for him? The idea bothered him. He loved her, sure, but he never wanted her to endanger herself for him. It was almost too family like for him. Too nice for him. He was of course glad to see her, but now she was stuck in his world, a world where she didn't belong.
Cain could hide his fear, but inside he was burning with it. He was scared of several things happening. The first one being that Vereor may kill her, or have his way with her. But he wouldn't do that, would he? He wasn't the kind of wolf to do that. He was... well.. no Cain. The other thing he feared was that the place would take a toll on her, making her something she wasn't. He didn't want her to turn dark hearted or mean. He wanted her to stay the same, that sweet non-judging wolf. One that looks at him with love instead of hate. He would never admit it, but he needed that from her. He needed her love and acceptance. She was the only wolf that did it.
Cain's yellow eyes spotted a small moving bit of snow and he turned his head fully to look at it. He saw the soft gold eyes that he loved so much and froze seeing that they weren't looking at him. He turned his head to follow Ava's eyes to see that she was staring at Esperanza. What did she have to say to a low life omega? Cain's fur puffed up around the neck and a low rumble escaped from his throat. There was no need for the two of them to be talking. Ava stopped, turned her head in his direction and perked her ears to hear another growl.
"Growling at me, brother?" Ava said with a tone of annoyance.
"How did you get away from Vereor?" Cain moved over to her, blocking her path to Esperazna.
"You know me, Cain, that shouldn't be a question. Now excuse me," Ava moved around him and started towards the only wolf, besides Cain, in this pack that showed her any kindness.
Cain whirled around and followed her, frustrated with her persistence. Why did she have to be so nice? Why did she have to be so accepting? His fur still on edge he stood by Ava as she stopped in front of the fae and bowed her head.
"Good evening," Ava started, her tail wagging slightly, "I'm Ava. And I thank you for kindness when I came here."
"There, you introduced yourself, now let's go," Cain nudged Ava to the side and she let out a growl glaring at him.
"What is your problem?"

Esperanza perked her auds, watching how Cain was trying to get Ava away from her. Had she done something wrong? Esperanza glanced around, but didn't see anything wrong with herself, or the place around her. Uh, it was hard trying to get Cain into a good mood, or even let anyone around her without him trying to drive them off. With a sigh, she watched the two bicker for a second. She could tell quiet clearly that they where close siblings, though one was black, male, and one was white, and female. The two, though, where close. Esperanza could tell that, and she was glad. Her 'mate' had someone he cared about and brought out another nature in him that Espy had never known existed until she had come, and Teekah had threatened her, as well as the other pack members....beside herself and him.
Now, Ava was approaching, slipping around Cain who was blocking her view. Esperanza's dome came up as Ava came forth, Cain stalking beside her. Espy's gaze flicked to him once, then away as she met the fae's gaze. Ava's dip of the dome and greeting made Esperanza smile slightly and she spoke Nice to meet you Ava. I didn't think you deserved all the rough-handling they wanted to give you, and also your Cain's sister, and I know he cares about you she gave a small smile, and dipped her dome back, happy to have a friend, especially one as nice as this.
Esperanza's face and mood fell as her mate spoke and tried to get Ava to leave. With a sigh, Espy forced herself to her paw's, and shook herself once. She then moved around her mate to stand beside Ava, and flicked her aud's back. When Ava spoke, Espy's orbs went to Cain. Why was he doing this? What is wrong Cain? she asked softly, wondering how he could be so harsh, and trying to drive everyone away from her. Espy might be pregnant and fragile at the moment, but being a lone and having no one to talk to was making her nerves raw. She needed to talk, and Ava seemed like a good companion.
Looking from under her lashes, Espy met Cain's gaze with her own. She held it for a few seconds before dropping it to the ground and dropping her dome. Yet, she stayed beside her friend, for she didn't want her to leave.

Cain was getting uneasy with every passing moment, and Ava could see that as he tensed up more when Esperanza stepped out from her den. Did Cain do something to Espy that he didn't want Ava to see? Ava looked at the smaller female and saw her plump stomach, swollen with pups inside. Ava wagged her tail friendly, excited about the possibility of new arrivals. Not that she was in this pack, but she liked pups and dreamed of the day that she'd have her own. Ava and Esperanza turned to look at Cain for his reasons as to why he was so determined to get Ava away, but he wasn't looking at the two of them, he was looking into the den.
"Cain, I know you are a jerk, but not to me." Ava growled and nodded towards Esperanza, "And you won't be rude to Esperanza, because I like her too."
"Ava, she is an omega," Cain said turning his eyes away from the den and to Ava. He was hiding the fact that he had forced Esperanza under him, forced her to carry his seeds, forced her to stay away from Vereor.
"Well obviously someone had the decency to look over the fact of her station and provide her with life," Ava turned and watched Cain tense under her eyes. She narrowed her eyes at him and he kept his own on the den. "Don't you agree?"
"You should make the den a little bigger, Esp," Cain said and turned around leaving the two faes to their business. He no longer wanted their eyes glaring him down and making him uneasy. He hated when females had that power over him. Well not just females, but his sister. His sister with that power.
Ava watched him leave and turned to the female next to her when he was completely out of sight, "He's acting strange. Now, how did a fae such as yourself get sucked into this kind of pack?"

Esperanza noticed Ava's gaze on her and her auds pricked. She felt her face heat up when the fae noticed her swollen bodice. She turned her gaze down, though she spotted the wag of a banner from the corner of her orb. She smiled slightly, happy that Ava was pleased that Esperanza would have pups. Though, Espy didn't think Ava knew that they where Cain's young...yet.
Esperanza's orbs widened slightly as Ava told Cain that he would not be rube to either of them, and this made Espy smile. She had a friend, a good friend to be exact. She was happy, and her bodice wiggled slightly. A smile played on her maw and she murmured softly Thank you meaning to Ava for saying she liked her.
Though when Cain pointed out she was a omega, Esperanza's feature's fell. Her orbs lowered, losing their bright look. Her auds pinned and her banner was tucked more tightly against her stomach. She stared at her paw's, hurting from the truth of his words. Espy let a soft sigh escape her maw, for hurting inside. Did Cain have to be so cruel to her?
When Ava stated the fact that she knew that Espy was caring Cain's pups. Her gaze came up and she saw how Cain was tensed. She wanted to speak, but he spoke before her, telling her to make the den larger. A nod was taken from her and she whispered Ok before slinking over to the den entrance and was about to crawl inside. Yet, Ava spoke to her and she stopped I got stuck in this pack because One. I came with a brute, Vereor, who I had feeling's for before I met Cain and Two because this reminds me of my home.... she spoke softly, and glanced back once more slipping inside her den, hurting. You can come in she called out, as she sat down.

Ava listened and observed the fae that she was slowly becoming friends with. She could see why she was an omega, used to backing down and taking anything the others dished out to her. But she could see that inside her there was something more, something that would be able to stick up for herself and move her out of the omega station. How could a wolf let themselves get so... unconfident? Ava knew she was small and a female, but the training her father instilled in her enabled her to be fierce and strong. She believed every female should be like that. Not small and quivering, easy for any male to take over.
I got stuck in this pack because One. I came with a brute, Vereor, who I had feeling's for before I met Cain and Two because this reminds me of my home....
The fae turned away from her and slid into her den, almost leaving Ava there to digest everything she just said. Vereor and Cain? Well that explained Vereor's coldness to her and Cain's uneasiness at the idea of her being under his care. Cain took away Vereor's love. Or at least his prize. Something any normal lupo would get disgruntled about. And now Ava was stuck in the middle of their quarrel. She didn't like that idea, especially since the male that she was spending the most time with was rather... large.
You can come in
Ava blinked and came back to reality, leaving her thoughts for a few moments. She looked around the den, there was enough room for the two of them but if there were pups, her getting in was a definite not plausible. Ava crawled in next to Esperanza and gave her a small smile, trying to show her that she wanted friendship.
"My brother, he... he didn't forcefully tear you away from Vereor, did he?" Ava asked, her gold eyes filled with questions as well as plots. Perhaps all this drama could benefit her escape, but it also had some serious death potentials mixed in with it. She just needed to know the whole complete story. Everything that happened, and maybe, just maybe she could work it out.
